Hi there! My name is Novokhatko Anastasia, dynamic and motivated professional with a proven record of building relationships, creating interesting lessons and shaping little minds.
I can explain my English teaching philosophy with the help of 5 F.
The first word is FRIEND. I do my best to create a friendly atmosphere in my classes, because I`m sure that only in such a way each student can fill him/herself comfortable and relax. Exactly that`s why my students love English.
The second thing is FUN. I always try to add some elements of fun whether it's a Kahoot quiz or a puzzle or some kind of game related to the content or even maybe a lively discussion. I believe that anything that's fun and gets people interested in the learning is great.
My third point that explains my teaching philosophy is FIRMNESS so I'm very firm with my student when it comes to certain things like deadlines and join up on time and rules and things like that. All the way and I think that holding true to rules and deadlines teaches my students responsibility and time management.
My fourth F is FEEDBACK. Once in three months I ask my students for a feedback by writing how my teaching is going for them, or just anything that I can do to improve my teaching. I think that it would help them in their learning so what I do is get them write those comments down scramble up the paper and snowball it or take a basketball shot into a bucket. Then I'll read them and adapt my methods to better according to their suggestions.
And last but not least F is FORMATIVE ASSESMENT. My students know that I'm always assessing their work another words I'm always assessing the learning and monitoring it and I use that through a variety of checklists, observational notes and also I do something called the stress chart where I observe their interest while doing different activities in the class. It helps to challenge myself through understanding what is too boring or right in the middle or very interactive.
